Well we had rain but I never saw a tornado! But we did have a very good day! It was our first flower show and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We are definitely going back next year. We arrived handy as advised and not was I glad we did. Car parking field was huge so we managed to get fairly close by. I didn't actually buy as many plants as I thought I would. Really good selection of plants and stalls. The floral marquee was really busy. Some of the plants we wanted were sold out so I think we would go on the Thursday or Friday next year if the kids have finished school. My photography skills aren't much good but I'll put up a few I took
We also took advantage of the plant creche and cloakroom (once the rain stopped). Brilliant idea! We didn't manage to get to any of the talks or workshops sadly. But with the kids (moaning!) It was difficult. Anyway, excuse my photography skills as said but here are a few pics
Thanks very much for posting those @Ericaheather, l'm glad you had a good time and enjoyed your first show. Your photos really capture the flavour of it all. There really is some lovely planting there, l am going to keep my fingers crossed that we can get there next year. Maybe next year you can leave the kids at home (or bribe them with promises of a treat, as long as they don't moan 😁) . Thanks again
@AnniD it cost me today trust me 😂. Really hope you get there we really did enjoy it all. Now just need to find room for my new planting tomorrow. And sew my new seeds. "Lemonchello" foxglove, and dierama my most prized seed buys. But just read it takes 5 years from seed to flower from dierama?? Is that true?! No wonder the plants were so expensive! Seeds were £5 for 15 and I nearly choked paying that
