    Ok that's reassuring. Thank you very much. It's on a north east facing wall... :o

    Will leave it where it is for the moment. I don't really have a south facing wall. (Just a wire fence at the bottom of the garden, recently replaced by the local school and bare of any plants.I plan to my tomatoes there this year though!)

  • HI REMF33,
    Both of mine are yet to leaf this year - although there are lots of buds :-). I guess you have a warmer garden that has lulled it into growth, and then the frost has bitten. Note that the plant seems to hail from the likes of Siberia, so I suspect it naturally hunkers down over winter and early spring.

    Thanks. I am keeping an eye on it. It has been warm enough to sit out in a t-shirt and bare legs for the last 10 days. I think all sorts of things - flora and fauna - have been tricked into making an appearance.
