New Turf, is it dead?

I have put new turf down about 10 days ago.  When i get the turf quite a lot of it was brown/ dry but presumed it would be OK as a lot was being sold like this from B&Q.  I have been watering it and we have had plenty of rain.  Will it eventually come through green?  I have added some pictures.

    To be absolutely honest I really doubt it. There’s no way I’d have bought that.

    I think you should go back to B&Q with the receipt and those photos and ask for your money back.

    That's a shocker. Hope you can get your money back and get hold of a specialist firm...turf needs proper care and storage, DIY barns really sell dregs.

    I'd say that's been kept rolled up for far too long, without light or water. Definitely go back to B&Q and ask for a refund. If they offer you replacement instead, make sure you can check it before accepting. I'd want free delivery thrown in too.

    That really is abysmal. Hope you get a good resolution when you go back.

    Pity you didn't stop as soon as you unrolled one piece, but I can understand you would want to get it done.
    I've got stacked pieces of turf [ to use as border soil] that would be more viable than that lot.  ;)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I've got sheets of cardboard with more grass than that lot. :#

    I agree with Dove, Hubby bought some on B & Q it was rubbish, then I got some from a local nursery was half the price, the lady unrolled it, asked iif it was OK (it was) and carried it to my car for me.

    thanks ill give that a go.  Now the only problem is disposing of the old turf.  I doubt B&Q will come and pick it up!

    If you've got space to stack it then it will make great topsoil in a few months.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
