ID Please.

Hi all, could you ID this plant that has appeared next to the fence please. Hoping it's not bindweed! Thanks

    Not a lot to go on, but it’s definitely NOT bindweed 😊 

    Are the stems square in cross-section and slightly hairy?

    some seem hairy, others don't? Not sure what you mean by cross section sorry, where do I look? And thank God it's not bind weed! Phew! Thank you!

    I'm thinking campanula poscharskyana. 

    Oh, another pic snuck in. My ID is for the smooth stems in pic 1. 
    Think there may be leaves of a tree seedling in the bottom right of that one too. ???

    Thank you both. Just had a Google and it's beautiful. I'll leave it where it is. Can I take cuttings from it do you know? Is it easy enough to do? I recently bought Campanula takion white, and I think it may look very pretty close by to that

    Hi Dove. Yes, blue flowers would make me more certain.

    Hi Ericaheather. It's a bit of a creeper, good for ground cover. I've split clumps by chopping it in half at the base. Never tried cuttings though. It also self seeds in the paving cracks in my front garden.

    I may try and lift it out, if this rain ever stops, and put it in a raised bed. Sounds like a bit of a thug though?

    Not really a thug ... it seeds itself in cracks alongside our wall and I’m happy for it to be there ... as you say it’s a pretty thing ... when
    it starts popping up where I don’t want it I just pull it out ... it’s pretty easy to ID once you’re used to it. 

    You can also pop seedlings that you pull out into pots ... when it flowers it can look lovely on a patio table etc
