Hardy Geranium for pot

I have Ingwersen's Variety and Johnson's Blue in the ground.

Not sure on the flowering duration of Johnson's Blue but it does seem to sprawl rather than clump, although it is a young plant I have so maybe needs time and that's not a true reflection.

Ingwersen's Variety has a nice shape for a pot but last year the one in the ground only had one flush of flowers in late Spring/early Summer, I'm looking for one that'll flower as long as possible.

Is Rozanne a good option?

    I was going to suggest Rozanne when I started reading your post. It flowers for a long time but starts off quite late so you could put some early bulbs in the pot. It gets quite big eventually in a bed and can lop over the edge of your lawn or onto other plants so a pot should work. It would need regular watering though.

    Yes I think a hardy geranium under-planted with early bulbs would be a good combination.

    Done a lot of googling and Orion is another that appeals.

    Managed to find a good sized pot of Rozanne this afternoon.

    Multipurpose compost with some fish, blood and bone mixed in fine for a potting compost?

    I'll be potting it this afternoon so if anyone can offer any input before that then bonus points to them...

    Only to remember to raise the pot of the ground so it can drain with all this bad weather.

    Aye, cheers!

    I'll likely re-pot it before long again anyway into a large pot under-layered with early Spring bulbs mentioned above.
