Bind Weed or not

Is this Bind Weed if not what is it, it is growing in my neighbors compost heap, very large and is taking over.

    It looks like an ivy to me.

    My first thoughts were Ivy.

    Mine too. Young new growth of ivy. Bindweed isn't glossy and shiny like that.

    So were mine, but on second thoughts I think it's too shiny.  One of the bryonies?  I never which is black and which is white.

    Black Bryony, my Dad has it in his hedge. Poisonous.

    Briony isn't shiny either (at least, not the one that I'm forever pulling out of my hedge, but I don't know which one it is).
    Edit: it looks like an indoor photo so maybe the camera flash is confusing things. Any chance of a photo without flash?

    Yes it was taken indoors, but it is shinny leaves and it has little white 'buds' on it, steams very twisted,  I thought of Ivy but as it is in the compose heap wondered why, sorry cannot get another photo, chap brought it up club this afternoon, he now gone home.

    I hadn't noticed the buds! I googled briony and I think @josusa47 is right - black briony with extra shine from the camera flash. It turns out that the one I get is white briony.

    Definitely not ivy. 

    Looks like Black Bryony to me ... the leaves of Black Bryony are glossy

    It looks very much like bindweed which I have growing all over my garden.  I pull it out of the hedges, after trying to cut it off at the bottom, especially if it is tangled round other desirable plants.  Like ivy, it will lose its grip after a short time and it can be tugged free.  However it is very difficult to eradicate.
