Gloves or No Gloves?

I don't usually wear gardening gloves unless dealing with thorny bits but some people are horrified that I don't especially at the allotment, even when it's wet. Sooooo….
Mix 2tbsp of white, granulated sugar with 1tbsp of water and place on a spoon for a Bee to reach. Sometimes they're too exhausted to reach back to the hives when it's hot and dry.

It's not quite as simple as the always I clicked. but 95% of the time it's gloves, when tying up something it's bare hands I can't manage string in gloves! Also when weeding the strawberries that are in plastic, if I use gloves I'll probably pull half the flowers off.

Oh yes, I ticked always gloves too but you've reminded me that I do have to do tying in and other jobs requiring dexterity without gloves.

I can't feel anything in gloves, but then I have a small garden so I don't do much wrestling with brambles, trees and rambling roses. Full scale gardening with large borders, ponds, field edges or orchards is a whole other world.

I can't tick any boxes as I'm the same as OP . Gloves only for thorns and euphorbia

Meh is kind of, 'neither here nor there' with it.

I really try and wear gloves, I really do. My hands are a dry and cracked mess.

In that case I tend not to wear gloves but sometimes wish that I had.

Every so often I try to wear gloves but it’s like knitting with a blindfold ... makes me totally cack-handed ... needless to say I get through a lot of handcream. 🙄

So, people wear gloves mostly because the skin dries out so much?
