I have several problem in my minescule garden.
1. I have a new small cherry tree and the leaves have curled and dried up. I did have some little black beetle type bug on the tree but soapy water spray has seen that off.
2. My sunflowers leaves are getting attacked by something leaving just the leaf  skeleton. It's not slugs - could it be ants and if so what do I do about them? Would an antkiller dust around the plant base do?
3. As above for some dahlias

The cherry tree needs a few gallons of water everyday when newly planted.
the rest will be slug damage.
If you kill all the ants you’ll get loads of greenfly.

Hello Mr chips. If you cannot find any caterpillars on your plants it could be earwigs. Ants in this country rarely cause damage to plants but they do 'farm' aphids for the sugary solution they excrete and aphids will suck sap from leaves but probably won't skeletonise them.
