“Black caviar” on joints of olive tree.

On the joints of my olive tree I have little clusters of reddish brown insects. It looks like little dollops of caviar. I have been washing them off with soapy water. Does anybody know what they are and what is the best way of getting rid of them? Thanks in advance.

I think someone posted something similar a few weeks back and it looked like Aphids to me at the time. They too were around the joints. At this time of year, everything is growing fast so it will attract aphids. Washing off with water is the best way to deal with aphids.
