Can anyone identify this plant? Sprouted at the back of the border over 6ft tall and growing!!! Looks verbena like with square stems but are smooth.

Scrophularia auriculata (
or
nodosa)

Certainly one of the figworts ... my bet is Scrophularia nodosa, the Common Figwort, as the stem looks wrong for the Water Figwort.
