Can anyone identify this wild plant. Highlands of Scotland. In boggy ground.

    Looks like a fasciated Marsh Thistle (Cirsium palustre) .

    Not sure what species it is, but the plant is displaying a type of growth abnormality called fasciation or cresting. This will make it a bit harder to identify your mystery plant.
