Pepper plants markings on leaves

my pepper plants have about 5 peppers growing on each one. I have noticed that the top half of the leaves have markings on the underside. Does any one have any ideas on what this could be? Thanks

    Can't be sure from pictures, but possibly Oedema?

    Try using a hand lens and see if they look like thrips or spidermite.  If the latter, you will start seeing webbing on the growth tips.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    yes bob is correct, both are horrible but spider mites are the worst. Use some bug clear ultra (spray from shop)  - others on here might suggest a more organic approach, up to you. The spray will kill all insects and eggs and get rid of the problem for good.
    So it before you get the fruit forming.

    Thank you so much for your advice, coated them with a mix of washing up liquid and water today but will get that spray for them tomorrow. Your advice made me realise the tiny spiders that I have on my peas outside were actually  spider mites too :( Am new at this growing vegetables, there’s so much to learn as thought my peppers were safer on indoor windowsill than outside!
    I already have peppers growing on my plant, and my peas are flowering. Will i have to remove these from the plant or will they still be edible. Noticed some webbing nearby on my herbs too, am worried that these are going to be damaged too.
