Hybrid rose means it has been formed from a cross between two roses. Most  roses are hybrids unless you grow species type.  Bush rose is more a description of the shape , they need less pruning than a typical garden rose. The David Austin  Rose sit has more descriptions.
For a small white Magnolia, try Magnolia stellata.
  • Thanks Fridgetbones.
ive recently put in three Thomas a Beckett David Austen roses which are gorgeous and fragrant,I think the magnolia you mentioned is one I’ve been looking at.

Good choice for the magnolia.  There aren't many magnolia which genuinely stay small and none which perform as well when young, in my opinion.  There are quite a few named cultivars which are worth looking through before you decide.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • I am looking for a fairly largish magnolia,I have a large area of lawn,I already have a flowering cherry, apple and plum tree and always wanted a magnolia.
