Can anyone identify this it’s all over my laurels and I am not sure if it’s friend or foe

    I think it might be a soldier beetle? Those guys eat aphids so not a pest

    I thought it might be then I was worried it was a Lilly nettle but not red more orange in colour .

    Soldier beetle indeed. Love them little critters. In the summer they are all over my rose-tree. No harm done.

    The pair in the first picture are obviously friends!
