stain for decking

can anyone recomend a decent black stain/paint for decking.  ,     Our grandkids didnt play with the playhouse anymore, so we got rid of it, there is a eucaliptus above, a lot of large roots above ground, hubby turfed where he could but it left a patch about 2 sq.mt, its woodland planting semi shade,I personally wanted dark brown, but we have a black bench to go on it.  Stuff says for rough wood only, other stuff we looked at says "not to be used on decking", he loooked up reviews of "stuff" for decking, people said it was useless wore off in a week.  Course, we dont want a massive amount either.

  • It looks like Ronseal offer dark grey but no plack paint...used their teak shade of stain on my new deck last year and has been good so far. https://www.ronseal.com/for-garden/decking/decking-paint/decking-rescue-paint/ could you maybe use a colour match service for a deeper colour...wonder if external masonry paint would stay on long term (can't imagine colour matching services bother with deck paint).

osmo oil is pretty good - it soaks in rather than sitting on the surface and peeling off. They do a charcoal colour that might work. There a few different ones so you'd need to pick the right type
