If I knew what this is, I would get a white one

    I would suggest the difference in price is flowers.
    Expensive ones will probably flower this summer.
    Cheap ones will be tiny plants and won't flower until 2020.

    If you see them in flower at least you are guaranteed getting the colour that you want.

    Saw a Nursery selling them at £5 to £6 at a Plant Hunters Fair at Hodnet Hall last week. In flower and good big clumps too.

    They are old and have ill health, it wasn’t anywhere near to Plymouth though.

    I've found that , like most plants, certain varieties ,eg, newer hybrids/ larger flowered are more expensive than older/more common varieties.
