Liquid fertiliser

Can anyone advise on how much liquid feed you need to feed a typical perennial plant, which might be in a pot or in the ground. Standard dilution, of say tomato feed is one cap full to eight litres of water. How many plants should eight litres be able to feed. Many thanks.

I'd say two or three Peter. I use a watering canful [think mine's about 6 litres] and it does a few plants, depending on what they are, and what size.
Some require a bit more than others, so it's not an exact science. I could probably use one can on a couple of small clematis for example, and a full one on a more mature specimen.
If doing pots, I always make sure the compost is nicely dampened first,  so that the feed doesn't run through. I give them a watering [if needed] a few hours before doing the one with the feed.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
