Photinia help

Hi All,
Does anyone know why the photinia on the right might have died. It literally died over in a matter of days. Yet the one on the left is in all it’s prime. Will that be likely to die too?
Many thanks for any thoughts/ comments or advice on this.

This year I lost a mature Photinia (Stranvaesia) 'Palette' to what I believe was the bacterial disease known as Fireblight .
The general appearance is of scorched and curled dying leaves which drop rapidly .
Photinia 'Red Robin' is also highly susceptible .
I would remove as soon as possible and if practical burn the whole thing .
Like yours , it was just a matter of a few days .

  • Wow ok! Many thanks for this! Lets hope the other one doesn’t get it.
