What do the leaves look like? First I thought a rose, but now I’m thinking a Rock Rose.
There’s a sage leaved rock rose, Cistus Salviifolius that looks quite similar, but need to see what the leaves look like. Cistus Monspeliensis also looks similar but with slender leaves.
I agree it does look quite like a cistus. The communal gardens near my house have just planted similar looking flowers and are labelled cistus. Their paper like delicateness is beautiful
