What is wrong with my Apple tree?

Leaves crinkled and black on apple tree. Why is this and how do i remedy it?

    Is this a fungus? What can be done to save the tree?

    probably sooty mould caused by black fly,, we get it on our plum every year hubby just removed the crinkly leaves, comes back fine the following year.
