Can anyone identify this plant please?  It's huge and not sure if I should be getting rid!

    Comfrey. If you let it seed it will spread prolifically.  You can keep cutting it down and add it to the compost heap, but to get rid you have to get all of the root out. It will resprout from any small bit left.  Otherwise, cut it down, let it resprout and spray the green leaves with glyphosate.

    Oh that was a speedy reply ~ thank you!
    Can I make Comfrey feed with it?  I'll dig it out asap, and make sure I don't waste the leaves

    ideal for making comfrey feed . Just keep cutting it down and add to a bucket of water. Put a lid on, it will smell, and you may get rat tailed maggots in it which are hoverfly larvae.  You can cut comfrey up to six times a year, so it is ideal for making feed.
