Invasive Tree ID

I live in western Kentucky and we are having issues with an invasive tree in our property. I would like to get rid of it, but need to identify it first to determine the best plan of action. It is extremely fast growing and other trees sprout up from the root system. We are trying to keep them cut back, but we live on a pretty steep slope, and as fast they grow, it’s proved difficult. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

No idea, sorry.   This is a UK based forum with some European and antipodean offshoots so the chances of an ID may be slim.   Is there a USA based or even Kentucky state based horticutural society or agricultural advisory body that could help you?

Could be a Paulownia. It is invasive in some american states.  It is often coppiced to  give new shoots with larger leaves. It grows fast, in china it is grown for the wood.  Have any of them flowered?
