Privet leaf loss

I recently replanted privet in large pots in my small front garden. They are now losing their leaves. Here is a photo. Any ideas what I need to do? Thank for in advance for any advice

Are you sure it's privet and not box? It reminds me of box tree caterpillar damage https://www.lovethegarden.com/uk-en/article/box-tree-caterpillar?language_content_entity=uk-en

Thank you Jenny. That’s what it is. I’ve spent an hour picking them out and will spray them to deter them coming back. Really appreciate your help.
