white lilac

The above in my front garden in Cornwall is inclined to be affected by a brown nasty colouring on the actual flower.

Can I use a fungicide straight onto the flowers?

It's better to find out what it is first.
Have you got a photo? White flowers often get a bit manky due to weather codnitions.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

My first thought was the same as yours @Fairygirl ... probably weather related ... and white lilac blooms usually go brown as they finish.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Yes - the white buddleias are the same, Dove.
Pity, as they're always covered in butterflies - more than any other buddleia I always think.
