Plant ID Please - Hosta ? Hellebore...

steveTusteveTu Posts: 3,219
We have a few of these dotted around , in pots and in borders. They all have musty pink/light purple flowers in spring....
For some reason I always thought they were some form of hosta. But plant id by leaf is coming back with a hellebore ...any ideas?

Hellebore.  If you can, plant them in the ground where they'll be a lot happier.

Water well before and after and plant at the same depth.  They don't like root disturbance but should have time to get over it before they're in flowering mode again.

Thanks for the advice. I have a couple of shady spots under a pair of fruit trees.
