Half eaten Clematis stem - please help!

    Make sure they [the clems] don't get dehydrated. That's more of an issue if you have them in a sunny spot.  :)
    Some clems like drier conditions, but it's mostly the alpina types. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Clematis roots are better in the shade because, in theory, there is more moisture available than in full sun. This has been mis-interpreted to read cool.
