Which Compost
Hi, can anyone please share any recommendations for compost for pots?last year I got lidl compost and it was OK as flowers did well but it dried out a lot despite regular watering. I know we had a very hot summer last year but thought would ask here for any recommendations.
It will be mostly flowers and few chilli/tomatoes.
Thanks

If you're growing summer bedding plants try Miracle-Gro Multi Purpose compost which has added water retaining granules.
Permanent plants, such as shrubs or herbaceous perennials will perform best in a loam based John Innes no.3
Some shrubs need Ericaceous compost (i.e. acidic) e.g. Camellia. Rhododendron. Azalea. Pieris to name a few.
Hope this helps you.
