It has been in bloom for about 3-4 weeks I estimate, roughly during the month of May. it's in a road verge.

    @fidgetbones, forgot to say, yes, East Anglia. Could potentially have been seeded (it's in a work place), but nearby there is nothing that suggests anything exotic, rather lots of weeds typical for verges (dock, herb robert, ground ivy et cetera).

    Fab, thanks @Papi Jo ! Interesting plant, think I will give it a try in my "tapestry lawn" project - it's not unlike a verge actually, just excluding the rampant weeds.

    That plant is often used in "meadow flower" planting (or rather seeding) where I live. It's a variation on the normal blue colour of Linum.
    Here is a pic I took some years ago.
