What is wrong with my vine and how can I solve this?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the problem is with this vine and how it can be treated? Seems like some sort of disease or fungus.

Many thanks!

I agree with@lyn ... our vine is covered with these every year ... and so were the vines on the house where I lived as a child. It does no harm to the vine and doesn’t affect the fruiting so there’s nothing for you to do. Just part of the wonderful world of nature. 😊

  • Oh that's great thank you so much for getting back to me both!

Regarding the vine leaves themselves - would they still be edible? As in to cook dishes like stuffed vine leaves (dolma).

I use the younger leaves that grow on the new growth later in the summer for cooking. They don’t seem to be so affected. 😊
