SOS my lawn is dying

In need of help pls!!
This is how my turf laid 6 months ago looks now.

I live in Yorkshire and the weather hasn't been too bad and I think I have watered it appropriately. I've just used westland lawn feed once just before Easter when the weather was glorious.

Please tell me what to do!

Help is much appreciated!!
Thanks!!

Panic not!  That really doesn’t look too bad to me. I think maybe you’ve cut it a bit too close ... cutting on a medium height is much better as it protects the roots from the sun and encourages ‘tillering’ which is the formation of lateral shoots so that it thickens up.

@glasgowdan is a lawn specialist ... hopefully he’ll see this and pop in with more helpful pointers.

    Hi chaps!

What you've got with new turf is a sparse root zone that's under  a year old, and is then cut thin, rolled and moved. It's often grown in a mesh lattice to support it when cut. So it's not well developed at all when you let it.

A "proper" lawn, to me, often takes 3 years when turfed. 2 years from seed.

It's not on the way out. Keep it cut regularly, as dove says nice and high, and it WILL develop, largely.over the autumn period  I wouldn't feed it until next spring other than a turf hardener (iron) in early winter.
