Robin Nesting

Hey guys i see a lot of robins  flying around my garden and sitting on my fence. I would like to put some nesting sites in but not sure what kind of nesting sites robins use like boxes and where to put them to best attract them.I have 3 nesting boxes but only blue tits seem to take them.

    They like to nest low down than most birds. Below 2m is recommended and the nest needs to be obscured by a climber or plant of some sort. There are some Robin esters out there designed to suit them. I've seen a Simon King one pop up a lot but never tried. There's loads more stuff online.

    I built this one last year from a photo i saw online. Its mounted amongst a wisteria on the north wall of my garage. (Don't fit any box on a southerly or westerly aspect unless adequately shaded, and even then i wouldn't recommend it...)

    The Robins are busy decorating as we speak. Plenty of resources online as alex says.
