Is it possible to restart my Dahlia

My dahlia has been eaten. Can anything be done? :(

Thanks in advance for any tips!

I doubt there's much you can do but wait and see. You could put a jam jar or something like that over the shoots to protect them until they get bigger. Give it a bit of water and keep it out of hot sun.

My Bishop of Llandalf was munched to the ground, but a few weeks later it’s reached the lofty height of 15cm. You still have some green, so it probably will recover in time, just be set back, so long as you protect what’s there...

I had a similar thing happen one year  ... we got loads more shoots and the best display ever ... just a couple of weeks behind the others.

I've had I  one that was chewed right down to the pot, I put 3 bits of slug pellets to catch the little blighter and the shoots are well up again now.
I think you would do better to cover the tuber with compost you may get more shoots then.

Glad to hear there is hope! Ok, so I'll plant it in the ground and cover it with some more compost and cover for a while with a perspex cover (seed tray lid)
I left some tuber showing in the pot as directed but I guess I left too much exposed
Thank you for your prompt feedback
