The magazine packaging

Hi does anyone on here know when the magazine is going to be wrapped in decomposable plastic? Like English heritage and some others are doing already. It is my first time on here i’m not sure if anyone from gardeners world looks at these posts? I’m interested as i’m guessing they have got it happening soon?

Pretty sure someone said they were exploring possibilities.
Itll be good if they can find something that isn’t plastic. The RHS magazine comes in compostable wrapping. 😊

I see there's a note on the plastic wrapping that says "recycle with bags at larger stores".  All l have to do is remember to take it with me (one more thing to think about).
My magazine from the Cottage Garden Society also comes wrapped in compostable wrapping, so if a comparatively small organisation can get something sorted, l'm sure a larger one can.

Why cant more packaging be made from cellophane as this is bio degradable?

I'm old enough to remember magazine subscriptions coming in a paper A4 envelope (and I'm not that old!). What is wrong with just doing that now? Why does everything have to be plastic? I get that it probably saves a few pence, but still..

What really annoys me is when they cover cardboard boxes with plastic film. I soak it in the sink and peel the plastic off before I can put it in the compost. Why do that!

It does make a handy greenhouse for a pot of cuttings though. This month's is keeping my sage cuttings moist at the moment.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
