Brown leaves on Choisya

Over winter and during the early months of the year, a couple of my Choisya plants had some leaves turn brown. Not sure what caused it but I'd like to ask if I need to remove the brown leaves or just leave them in place until they drop off?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If your shrub is growing well now, it is a good time to give them a light trim. If it's still flowering now, you can wait until that has ended.

    Thanks for the help Borderline.

The Choisya have just about finished flowering so I'll go ahead and give it a light trim as you suggested.
