Pink flowering shrub

Loraine3Loraine3 Posts: 579
I have been helping a friend do Church flowers for her grandson's wedding. We picked some flowering shrubs from another garden but we don't know what they are. It was a shrub about 8' tall and the leaves were in pairs and looked like weigelia but the flower was scented and looked more like lilac.Going back to the Church tomorrow and will try and take a picture.

There are different varieties of weigela so that could be the answer.

I'm sorry they are not very good quality.

I have a loose flowered form of lilac called Korean lilac - could it be that?
