Help with Scottish shady dry garden! First time gardener

    There are rocks and there are rocks! A well built rockery is a joy to see but so many of them have tiddly bits of stone lying like raisins on the ground. A humungous bit of rock would go there in the space and add a bit of vim but not lots of small stones dotted about. Japanese gardens have large rocks, all of different shapes and different meanings and all expertly placed.
