Calamondin tree dropping leaves

I bought a Calamondin plant about 2 weeks ago that was overrun with flowers and fruits, but in the last 3 days it’s starting dropping it’s leaves. I can’t even touch it without a leaf dropping off.
Its sitting in a sunny window which gets warm late afternoon through evening. I’ve been watering at about twice a week, and used some citrus feed as well.
I’m just very confused as I’ve read some articles that say the leaves drop because of overwatering, but I’ve also read that they curl and drop because of underwatering.
Some of the dropped leaves are still glossy but others have curled right up
Help!

It's tough, they can be difficult to grow. Leaf drop can happen from time to time. It still looks nice and healthy. I do think they need to be in a more cooler place with cooler nights and you should be getting them ready to be left outside against a sunny wall, as it is far better for them to be grown outside in summer time.
