I saw this shrub in a neighbour's garden.  They didn't know the name of it and neither do I.  Does it have any natural interest, there were no bees on it that I could see.  Can anyone name it for us please?

    Goodness, I didn't expect such a quick response!  Thank you.  I thought the plant was evergreen, and as far as I can see it doesn't attract wildlife, although perhaps the birds could nest in it.  I would imagine that perhaps it isn't a native plant.

    I have one..... No it's not evergreen,  beautiful when in flower.

    Yes, it certainly does look attractive at the moment, although I would imagine it may look like Berberis in the winter (without the killing thorns on it), bare and lifeless, I do prefer evergreens too ImpatientGardener.
