    Nut’s  right, although I seem to be quite good at seed growing, out of 80 different lots of seed sown this year I only had 4 that didn’t germinate, one was a grass that’s infertile, I took a chance, one is the blue poppy, but they will need the winter to get going,  one from  the garden and  one from an old packet.
    still some perennials that I’ve only just sown, I’m sure they’ll be ok though. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    Nice flower bench installation muddle-up! Gives me hope mine might survive. There does seem to be confusing advice (and experience) out there, even the RHS says full sun to part shade...

    Thanks MU - no shortage of rain here at the moment though, barely stopped for weeks. I’m in the foothills of the Pyrenees, so despite fierce summer sun, we also get summer storms. It often feels more Cornwall than Córdoba! I will keep them well watered and hope.
