Plum Tree Problem

My well established damson tree seems to have an infestation of some pest which is making the leaves curl, dry and fall off- please can someone help me identify and what should I do to solve the problem?

    I Have the same problem.   ALso some fungus on the main trunk which look like small horse hoofs??
    The trees are very old and very tall some 20/25 feet.  But also the young suckers are affected.
