    It does literally grow like a weed and self seeds everywhere - but very pretty and it is a cultivated flower so a good one to keep.

    Yours is covered in aphids, I would give him a big dose of washing up liquid diluted, in a spray bottle.

    Whereas I would just spray it with a blast from the hose pipe to shift them or squish with my fingers and let nature take its course when the predators arrive.   The WUL is harmful to good guys too.

    The reason for adding washing up liquid is just to break the surface tension of water otherwise when you spray, the water mostly bounces off due to it's surface tension - basically detergent makes water a lot wetter. All that's needed is a couple of drops in a litre or more of water will be plenty.
    I always use shower gel rather than WUL as shower gel doesn't contain all the powerful grease busting agents and enzymes
