Helps, What Happened to my Allium?

Plants Allium purples sensation in mix with tulips 2 year agos. First years results was fantastic, but this years after tulips has pass I notice that more than half of also Allium has disappeared. I just wondered what I did wrong? Here images from first year and this year.



But this year just so disappointed 

Where are tgey all gone?

    Dig a patch up and have a look, see if the bulbs are still there, have they rotted away, been eaten by vine weevil grubs.

    There are a couple of posts earlier about the same thing. Mine didn't come back this year either despite being in optimum ground. Expensive to buy the bulbs every year.

    Must be a funny year for alliums. My new Mount Everest bulbs (planted last autumn) are up and flowering but are under 12" high. That's much shorter than the expected height of approx 90cm I read online. 
  • Thank you guys once the rest die down i will dig it up to have a look. Yest they are expensive indeed. That why i will try to safe them if i can.
