Does my Harry Edland Rose bush look ok?

It has been planted in my garden a week and the leave seem a little crinkly! I used a little well rotted manure and a few sprinkles of slow release fertiliser in my planting hole, well mixed in! I am a newbie to gardening, so have a little plant anxiety!

    That looks fine to me although regular watering for a few months is needed too. The soil looks dust dry to me. Why is the border so narrow? It won't be long before you're whacking the rose with the lawnmower and already you're going to have problems using your edging shears. Widen the border and give the plants room to spread their wings.

    Spot on mate on the dry soil and the edging 👍

    Thank you you for your feedback! Very useful. 

    We we have a very dry, south facing garden. Believe it or not - I did water yesterday and that photo was taken today! 

    How often would you recommend watering?
