We bought this beauty in September 2018 and planted it in our small garden at our holiday home, it looked amazing, roll on 8 months and it's a different story. It's been fed on tomatoe feed and bone meal, but it's now totally brown, can it be saved, any advice greatly appreciated

Looks like it has died, unfortunately.  I think it's a type of conifer and these generally don't come back once they turn brown.  Did it get watered well after planting?  A potted tree of that size would need a bucketful every couple of days for the first week and then at least once a week for the next few months as it takes them a long time to grow roots out into the surrounding soil.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Thanks for your feedback, it was manually watered readily on a weekend, with reliance on the British weather during the week, but my guess is the damage was done over the winter when our holiday home was not in use. I'm guessing therfore we should opt for something compostela different when replacing it?
