Plant ID

Hi

Can anyone help me identify this plant? They have started to pop up all over my garden and I’m not sure if it’s a weed or something I’ve planted previously and forgot about.

Thanks

That looks to me like one of the willow herbs

I've just searched willow herbs and it does look similar. Do they always flower? I don't think I would mind them too much if they produce a pretty flower. Although some information does say that it's a weed and can take over the garden. Do you think it's worth keeping?

You would mind. They seed everywhere! Pretty flowers though.

There’s a place for willow herb if you have a few acres and a wildlife area that you’re happy to let go a bit wild ... they’re a good plant for all sorts of butterflies and moths ... but in ‘a normal garden’ they can be a right PITA as they spread by underground stolons and by their seeds which float on the air like thistledown 🙄
