Fox deterrent that worked

B3B3 Posts: 27,505
I thought I would share something that has worked for me.

A fox was continually digging in the same spot in my garden. It must have been able to smell something there, but I've no idea what. So I decided to try to mask the smell.

I filled in most of the hole and nestled an old Gu pot containing a small amount of bleach (the stinkiest thing I could think of at the time) in the dip. The fox hasn't been near it for a week and the surrounding soil hasn't been contaminated by the bleach.
In London. Keen but lazy.

Chilli powder seems to work too, often.
