Maidenhair Fern Brown Spots (Top of Leaves)

Hey all,

I got this maidenhair fern about a month ago and in the last week, I've noticed these brown spots starting to develop on the top of leaves on some branches. I've read about Sporangia with ferns, and this does not seem to be the case here. I mist it daily, have been watering every other day except for the last couple of days as it's been pretty rainy where I am so it hasn't dried out as much. Overall there are a few branches that are light green but don't seem dry. Then some branches with dark spots. Majority of the day it's in bright indirect light, and right before sunset, there's some dappled direct light. Trying my best to keep this little gal alive and thriving but not sure how best to proceed here.

Thank you!

They tend to be quite temperamental in my experience. They like to be spongy-damp. They also really respond to being fed.

    I can’t see the pictures.
