Woody salvias - how to keep them blooming

    Thank you for all your comments. I do keep them all in a south facing spot - no shadow - so I don't think it is that. I think it is as you say, that some are more vigorous than others. The next problem I will have is when to cut them back. Last year some of them (especially a peach one) grew very soft and lanky after flowering.

    I chop chunks off the red Greggii one all through the summer, when deadheading. Its possible your soil is too rich Janebal, or you are overdoing it on the watering, either might make them go a bit floppy.

    OK thank you, Nollie. I will deadhead them more and water them less.
