Blueberry flowers turning brown

Hi,

Its my first time growing blueberries and so far I’ve had lots of beautiful white flowers growing on the bush, however recently a lot of them has started to turn brown and fall off. Is this normal?

    The white 'petal' part dropping is fine as long as they are leaving the small developing fruit, which looks like the case with yours.  This indicates the flower has been pollinated.  You only need to worry if the whole flower/fruit and little bit of stem are dropping off.  They will appreciate a liquid feed for ericaceous plants once a week from now until the fruits form and best to only use collected rainwater to water them as some tapwater is quite hard which they don't like.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    the are looking great. Once they have been pollinated by a bee the white flower will shrivel up and turn brown. Soon after the blueberries will start to develop and swell up.

    What variety do you have?

    The bush in the picture is a Goldtraube but I also have 2 Bluecrops and a Bluegold too! Excited to see which variety will produce the best crop!

    I have those. Goldtraube is one of my top favourites, bluecrop is your average blueberry taste, although this year not producing as well for some reason. I'm hoping for a late boost. Haven't tried bluegold yet, new addition this year however after reading reviews it has gone to the bottom of my list. Fingers crossed but I haven't found anyone call it their favourite yet..

    That’s a shame! My Bluegold looks the most productive so far but I guess I’ll need to wait til it sets fruit to judge.

    I agree about the Bluecrop, I have seen little action from my two.

    Hi, could you please advise what could be the reason when flower/fruit and stem are dropping off (almost every single one so far)?
    I think all tick all the boxes in terms of blueberry care but there must be something I missed. My potted blueberry bushes are growing otherwise very well with lots of new foliage and no diseases.
