Will tiller be good for the job?

Hi
Im very new to gardening and have just bought a house with a huge garden and now we have removed all the weeds and brambles I would like to level the ground as it is not very level at all, my question is that will using a tiller to rotavate the garden be good enough, i want to re seed the lawn with new grass seed after... could someone please give me some advice please, i have attached some photos

My dad had something similar when I was a lad, it really makes light work of heavy compacted soil.
I recently bought one of these tillers to get my beds ready for sowing

It was to replace my 30yr old Black and Decker tiller that finally gave up the ghost this year.
It works surprisingly well for a small machine, but if anything was a bit too powerful for small beds as it chucked soil all over the place, but did leave a fine tilth for sowing
